Fleetwood Yacht Club has long been part of the town’s strong maritime tradition, based within Fleetwood Marina on the River Wyre. The club was formed to bring together local sailors and boating enthusiasts, providing a welcoming space for both cruising and racing in the Irish Sea and surrounding waters.

As Fleetwood itself evolved from a major fishing and commercial port into a modern leisure waterfront, the yacht club helped keep sailing activity at the heart of the town’s identity.
